Leadership Development Module (LDM)
The Leadership Development Module (LDM) is the introduction
to Centre for Christian Studies diploma and year-long certificate
programs. It may be taken as a Continuing Education Certificate
in Leadership Development. Among the students taking it for
a Certificate are:
- Parish CE staff
- Ordained ministers
- Youth workers
- Priests
- Staff Associates
- Congregational lay leaders
- Master of Divinity students
The LDM is a two-week intensive course offered every
June. The next LDM will be offered on May 31-June 13 in Winnipeg. There will also be a second LDM offered on August 9-21 at Parkdale United Church in Calgary. Application deadline is April 1. Space is limited. Late applications

Where community is safe and structured, the impossible
becomes possible. The LDM works as an orchestrated whole,
moving participants from being co-learners to co-leaders
and round again. You discover yourself playing roles
maybe you never dreamt of playing .

Honouring experience and using participatory process we
explore:

- facilitation skills
- conflict resolution
As a faith community we share:
- theological perspectives
- biblical stories
- personal journeys
- daily worship
Students take part as co-learners and co-leaders designing
and presenting:
- reading discussions
- workshops
- worship
- case studies
- ministry reflections
- peer assessments

During the three weeks of twelve-hour days and six-day
weeks, we learned in many different ways. Every-one
was aware of different learning styles and personality
types. Differences in abilities and styles were honoured
and woven together effectively.

This Module is co-offered by the University of Winnipeg and
is considered as a full year course in the Master of Divinity
