
The Centre for Christian Studies is currently advertising for the following positions:
We are seeking an individual with deep commitments to justice, to the empowering of others through transformative learning, and to a collaborative, collegial and non-hierarchical work-style.
You bring extensive leadership experience in an ecclesial, educational or not-for-profit sector context, along with advanced training or post-graduate formation in some aspect of adult experiential education, justice work, and theology.
Key skills you have developed will include:
You will be familiar with the Anglican and United Church communities, and will have demonstrated strong commitment to diaconal and lay ministries. You will also demonstrate commitment to feminist and liberation theologies and social analysis, and a willingness to be accountable to the Centre’s theological, educational, and justice stances.
The position is based in Winnipeg, and requires extended periods of travel, and the ability to find a flexible balance of internal and external affairs in connecting with judicatory working groups, other educational institutions, staff, students, graduates and friends of the Centre.
The Principal is accountable to the Central Council of the Centre for Christian Studies through the Human Resources Committee. Staff carry out their work within a team model.
This is a full-time permanent position. Remuneration (based on current salary scale) is $61,395 per year. The benefit package is the standard CCS staff benefit program through The United Church of Canada or the Anglican Church of Canada (health, dental, life, pension, etc.)
